Pseudonym, Some bands hit the big time by sheer luck. Others work their asses off and end up getting nowhere. If the musicians of Bodine had received a dollar for every rehearsal they ever did, the band members would probably have been millionaires. The result, however, was one of the most professional bands in Holland?s hard rock and heavy metal history, with sales that almost peaked below zero. Were all of Bodine?s rehearsals, song-writing sessions and studio hours a waste of time? Hell no! The band has three albums to show for their efforts, and from now on even a career-spanning box set: Anthology! The box contains the three official albums the band released in the 80s: Bodine (1st album), Bold As Brass and Three Times Running, plus a bonus CD, Bodinism, containing non-album-, demo-, unreleased tracks/versions, jingles, and even the first ever Bodine national radio interview, conducted by their later producer Alfred ?Big Al? Lagarde. Remastered from the original master tapes and featuring band members Arjen Lucassen (Vengeance, Ayreon), Rene Rijsdijk, Axel Langemeijer, Armand van der Hoff, Gerard Haitsma and powerhouse vocalist Jay van Feggelen (Ayreon), the release of the 4-CD BODINE Anthology box is a unique event in Holland?s rock- and metal history. For the first time all relevant achievements of the band have been brought together in a beautifully wrapped box, with bonus songs, liner notes, unpublished photos and other memorable attributes in an extensive 40 page booklet. What all albums have in common is an impressive sound, divine grooves, great guitar licks and powerful vocals. Apart from Arjen Lucassen (Vengeance, Ayreon), the band members may not have received the credits their musical talents deserved, but it is no coincidence that Bodine was the band where he learned the tricks of the trade... Don?t take our word for it. Listen to the music! Bodine may not be around anymore, but what remains is their legacy.
